| New Members Fortnight is coming... |
| Bucks YFC New Members Fortnight 2008 kicks off on 5th April, with a series of events and activities organised over the two week period.
We welcome all new members and encourage them to get involved. On top of that, at new members events, there will be even more new faces, so its a perfect way to meet new people and give it a try. Details of all the New Members Fortnight events can be downloaded from our downloads page. |

| Competitions Success! |
| The club has continued an excellent start to the year, by coming Joint 2nd in the Club Promotion competition last weekend - look out for more BYFC publicity coming soon! Who knows - you may even see the presentation at your school/college!
This was followed by the county bowling competition where Buckingham YFC had two teams entered, taking both 1st and 2nd places! Well done to all the members involved - an awesome achievement and hopefully there's more to come throughout the year! Would you like to get involved?! | BYFC Dinner & Dance 2008 |
| Yes, its that time of year again!
This year's Dinner & Dance will be held on 1st March, at Villiers, The Old Town Hall in Buckingham at 7.30pm (for 8pm). Tickets cost just £30 to include a 3 course meal and after dinner entertainment. Dress code for the event is Lounge Suits. If you would like to know more, please get in touch with us on info@buckinghamyfc.co.uk or contact Liz Hilsdon on 07873 395093. Replies are needed (with menu choices) by 16th February! In such a special year for the club, it would be excellent to see as many people as possible from the different YFC generations. We know you’re out there and it really would make the event extra special! |

| Australia Day Party |
| We're going DOWN UNDER...for an Australia Day Party: Friday 25th January (THIS FRIDAY!) at Tingewick Village Hall, 8pm-late! Tickets £6 - fancy dress is optional, but in true YFC style, definately encouraged! Hope to see you all there! For more info please speak to a committee member. As its our do - lets hope we can show the rest of the county how to party!! |

| Rediscover Your Roots |
 Rediscover Your Roots - that's a phrase you'll be hearing quite a lot of during the year.
Linked to 2008 being the club's 85th anniversary, we are launching the Rediscover Your Roots campaign, which has two main objectives: 1) Contacting past members - the club has a large database of contact details but know there are some who aren't on there. This means we have no way of contacting them with club news and details of events (including the anniversary celebrations)! If you are an ex-member and would like to be added to our mailing list, then please let us know. Alternatively, should you know somebody who would like to be included, please pass on this message and ask them to contact us. 2) Attracting new members - as well as going back to the roots of the club, we also want to reach out to the roots of the region - that's you (and us!), the younger generation. We want to show everybody what Young Farmers is all about and give as many people the opportunity to get involved as possible. Why not come along to a meeting to see? You've nothing to lose! So, keep your eyes peeled for further news - both on this website and in the local press! | Christmas Extravaganza |
| To all members; past, present and prospective, we would like to invite you along to our Chirstmas Extravaganza at Akeley Village Hall, on Wednesday 19th December 2007. Start at 7 30pm, there will be a quiz - make up your own team of 4 or join one on the night, a raffle and bar - all proceeds to Thames Valley Air Ambulance. We look forward to welcoming everyone for what will be an enjoyable evening! |

| Blackpool AGM 2008 |
| Have just received confirmation of County's plans with regard to accomodation for the AGM - for any OVER 18's interested in going the package will £90.00. A large number of places have been booked for Bucks YFC Members at The Georgian Hotel, Albert Road, Blackpool. If you would like more information on the hotel, please visit http://www.thegeorgianhotel.co.uk/hotel.htm The hotel is very close to the Wintergardens and they hope to have a swimming pool in place by the time of the AGM. It will cost £90 per person. The club needs to know by Friday/Saturday an approximate number of attendees to ensure county have booked enough rooms. A very large deposit has been put down for this hotel by county so your co-operation with this is greatly appreciated. Its going to be GOOD! |

The new committee look forward to seeing you all over the next few weeks, and if you have anything you wish to discuss with them or get involved with don't hesitate to speak to one of them. |

| A reminder that membership for 2007 - 2008 is now due, please remember this covers all insurances, both at club, county and national meetings. You can also use your card for discount at some race meetings, Olympia horse show, and other events. The membership fees have changed this year to: Junior £20.00 Intermediate £25.00 Senior £30.00 Please see Emma for a membership form, and when it is completed, with consent form for under 18's please return to Emma. |

| Autumn 2007 Meetings |
| The Autumn programme is now available. As always, some meetings are subject to confirmation, so please check if you are unsure!
There are 2 meetings in November, which will require payment at least a fortnight in advance, these are Buckingham Museum trip (£2.50), and Brewery tour (£7.50). We are pleased to say too, that the whole programme is suitable for all ages (including the Brewery tour!). We look forward to seeing you soon! |

| A very advanced date for your diary, but please put it in now none the less!! Saturday 1st March 2008 is the date for our annual Dinner and Dance, it will be held once again at Buckingham Town Hall! We hope to see lots of you there! |
