About Buckingham YFC

Buckingham Young Farmers' Club was founded in 1923,
making it the oldest surviving young farmers' club in Britain!

Buckingham YFC is open to anybody aged between 10 and 26 years old. It is a great way to meet new people and have a good time. Ultimately a rural youth group - despite the name, you don't even need to be a farmer to join! The clubs are run for the members, by the members, giving everybody the chance to take on responsibility if they wish. YFC aims to allow members to develop, learn and, perhaps most importantly, have fun, through the diverse opportunities on offer!

A varied, enjoyable programme of meetings and events, ensures there is something for everyone and has attracted members from a wide range of backgrounds. Amongst the many activities members take part in are, sports, entertainment, competitions, fundraising and weekends away, as well as fantastic opportunities for travelling abroad on the YFC Discovery Programme, supporting the local community and learning new skills. What's more, members also get the opportunity to meet new people - not only from their own club but from other clubs in Bucks and also the surrounding counties through joint meetings and social events.

The club is part of the National Federation of Young Farmers' Clubs (NFYFC), which is made up of over 650 clubs and over 23,000 members across England and Wales, providing a wider support network and further openings and opportunities. More information can be found on the NFYFC website at www.nfyfc.org.uk (Opens in a new window).

Buckingham YFC meet regularly for a variety of meetings which can be found here.  Senior members (aged 15-26) meet every Wednesday, whilst Juniors (10-14) join the Seniors on the first Wednesday of every month.

If you would like to find out more, or come along to a meeting to experience YFC for yourself, please drop us a message here.
